DRAFT MINUTES
OLD LYME INLAND WETLANDS AND WATERCOURSES COMMISSION
SPECIAL MEETING/SITE WALK
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2008
8:30 A.M. AT 16 HEFLON FARM ROAD
OLD, LYME, CONNECTICUT
- 8:30 a.m. - 08-22 – Peter & Michelle Bass – 16 Heflon Farm Road – Proposal to install 12x16 shed. Present were members Janet Bechtel, Dave McCulloch, Lewis DiCamillo, Evan Griswold and Sabine O’Donnell, and enforcement officer, Ann Brown. The commission concluded that this proposal should be approved with an administrative permit issued by the enforcement officer because the building will not be on a permanent foundation, it is not close to the wetlands, and the terrain is such that any impact to the wetlands is very unlikely.
- 9:00 a.m. 175 Boston Post Road – Estella Besaw (Possible Violation) Ms. Besaw met with the commission on site. She will submit an application for the work which has already been done, showing what was there and what work has been completed. She will remove any debris, refuse and household items which are on the patio and along the pond edge and on the hillsides adjacent to the patio systems.
- 9:30 a.m. FMTM – Broad Brook Estates – 254-254-1 Boston Post Road
(E & S Control Review) The commission walked up the improved roadway in the Phase I area. Robb Linde joined the commission on the site walk. Considerable sand has washed into the armored swales, because the roadway has not been paved. Yard wastes have been dumped in several spots along the roadway. The commission asked Ann Brown to contact the owner to suggest that he block off the roadway to prevent people dumping on the property, and to ask what his schedule for submitting the as-built plan and paving the Phase I area.
Adjournment at 10:10 AM.
